Tricoteuses Chambord CSM is located in a small town within the Eastern Townships on the shores of the beautiful Moe's River (Compton). We are often asked how we started our small home business.
We officially became a business in 2017. However we have been involved with these machines for over 10 years. It all started when a friend showed up at our Annual Antique Machinery Show with a circular sock machine. It was literally "love at first sight"! Dave being the type of person who wants to know how things work, was marvelled by the ingenuity yet the simplicity of these machines. He started to gather machines from various sources but as often happens, some had broken or missing parts. For this reason he started making parts which led to the design and fabrication of a complete machine.
Our mission is to promote the hobby and to bring old machines destined for the scrap pile back to life. We also believe in preserving this important part of our rural heritage.
